Pow VPN works with many apps supporting WireGuard, AmneziaWG 3.1, VLESS Reality and IKEv2/IPSec. In networks without active VPN blocking, they can be an excellent, high-speed solution. The Pow VPN app is more resilient in changing or restrictive networks: it continually evaluates live connection signals and server availability, refreshes candidates after a failure and selects the best protocol and route. Typical third-party clients use the country or fixed backup servers you select, so they cannot make the same network-wide adaptive decision for you.
Use the VPN capability already built into iOS. No extra app is required: install the IKEv2/IPSec profile in one step and connect from system settings. It is simple, fast and maximally compatible — a strong choice where VPN traffic is not actively inspected or blocked by DPI.
WireGuard is one of the fastest modern VPN designs: its core is measured in only a few thousand lines of code, uses modern cryptography and keeps connection overhead low. AmneziaWG 3.1 builds on that performance with traffic obfuscation for tougher networks. Compatible clients are widely available and can deliver outstanding speed almost everywhere.
VLESS Reality is designed for networks that identify and restrict ordinary VPN traffic. It makes the opening TLS exchange resemble normal encrypted web traffic by using a realistic fingerprint and destination context, making automated classification substantially harder than with a conventional VPN handshake. It requires a specialised client and generally uses TCP/TLS, so it can remain useful even where UDP is restricted.
